For whatever reason nobody makes replacement cloth seat skin kits for Miata seats. I can buy a set of vinyl skins that look the same as my leather seats now that will lost longer, won't get as hot, have the holes for the headrest speakers, and are cheaper. That would only cost $150 or so. I'd really like to switch from the current tan leather to black cloth but I guess that is not a possibly. And I'm not shelling out a taint load of $$ for something custom from a shop.

I'm pretty sure I've seen these before. It bothers me they cost twice as much plus shipping, I do have to work on a college budget after all haha. Appreciate the help though.

Mine have the headrest speakers which I really like. So I'd have to find somebody with black cloth seats in decent shape that have the optional speakers. I'm starting to think I'll have to buck up and save for the ones you linked because nobody is going to trade away good seats for ones as worn as mine. And I care equally about having new looking seats/ switching to black cloth. So I might as well buy new skins to satisfy all my needs.

Not quite sure, can't tell if those have the headrest speakers.

Looking at them again in a slightly not-as-buzzed mindset, they don't appear to have speakers. I wonder what'd it take to adapt yours into those...

id have to cut up the headrest to make them fit, wire them up and feed that through the seat. But even then seats like mine with speakers unzip at the top to make access to them wayyyy easier. I wouldn't have that option trying to jerry rig it with another set.
